To be considered as a transfer student, you must have attended a post-secondary institution but not yet earned your bachelor's degree. (This does not include high school students enrolled in college-level coursework.)
Upon arrival at Claflin, you'll receive an official evaluation of your transcripts from the Office of Admissions listing the courses accepted for credit.
How to apply
Three Steps to Transfer.
1. Complete the Application
Complete an undergraduate application for admission as a transfer student.
2. Submit Official Transcripts
Send official transcripts from ALL colleges and universities you've attended so we can complete the decision-making process.
3. Submit the Confidential Statement
Complete the confidential statement as written proof of good standing from every institution you've previously attended.
What You'll Need to Qualify.
Transfer admission is based on your academic record across every institution you've attended. Review the eligibility requirements below as you prepare your application.
- 01Attended a post-secondary institution but not yet earned a bachelor's degree
- 02Cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (a higher average is needed to be competitive) and eligible to return to your prior institution
- 03No transfer grades below “C” are accepted; statements of honorable dismissal required
- 04Under 30 earned credit hours? Also submit an official high school transcript, SAT/ACT score, HS GPA, and class rank
- 05No more than 60 semester credit hours may transfer from two-year institutions
- 06Credit in a major more than 10 years old must be validated by the major department
