Claflin's Computer Science Students Finish in Top 10 at Competition

Members of the Claflin Computer Science Team working TogetherClaflin University computer science students Jessica Mong, Kumar Lama, Charles Schultz and Collins Sirmah participated for the first time in the 27th annual Southeastern Computing Sciences in Colleges competition last month at Furman University in Greenville. The Claflin team finished seventh out of 30 college teams and was one of only two HBCUs participating in the event. The team was accompanied by Dr. Nesan Sriskanda, associate professor of engineering and mathematics at Claflin. The first 10 teams received certificates and a standing ovation.
