Claflin U-OCSD Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources

Project Overview

The Claflin University–Orangeburg County School District (OCSD) Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Grant Project represents a collaborative initiative designed to strengthen instructional practices, enhance curriculum development, and expand access to high-quality educational resources across seven OCSD high schools.

As the culminating deliverable of the 2025–2026 grant cycle, this webpage documents the outcomes and impact of a series of professional development workshops conducted in partnership with Claflin University’s English Department. These workshops provided educators with training, tools, and strategies to effectively integrate Library of Congress resources into classroom instruction.
