Claflin University Freshmen-New Students Move-In Day

Students enrolled in Claflin’s Class of 2021 will arrive on campus to begin a new experience toward becoming visionary leaders for the 21st Century.  Claflin expects to enroll its largest freshman class in its history. 

On Saturday, August 12, 2017 students will begin moving into designated residence halls at 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.  The schedule of activities includes presentations by administrators from Claflin’s Fiscal Affairs and Financial Aid offices. Commuter students are invited to a Meet and Greet at 3:30 p.m. and an Old Fashioned Picnic for students and family members hosted by Claflin President Henry Tisdale and First Lady Alice Carson Tisdale begins at 5 p.m.

Claflin students, faculty, staff and alumni will celebrate the University’s historic achievement of 150 years of academic excellence in 2018-19. Claflin University continues to embrace the fundamental ideologies and principles for which it was founded.  The University's nurturing environment fosters intellectual curiosity and spiritual introspection to a diverse, multicultural student population.  And, since its inception, Claflin has produced distinguished alumni who became trailblazers in business, government, education, the sciences and the arts and humanities.
