Hurricane Michael Update #3, October 10

Hurricane Michael was upgraded to an “extremely dangerous” Category 4 hurricane today by the National Hurricane Center. Michael made landfall today on the Florida coast and forecasters are predicting that South Carolina will face tropical storm conditions beginning this evening through Thursday.
Claflin University will close today (October 10) at 5 p.m. and remain closed through Thursday, October 11. This includes all classes and activities. Claflin University will resume normal business operations and classes on Friday, October 12 at 8 a.m.
On Thursday, October 11, the University Dining Center will operate from 10 a.m. until 1p.m. for brunch and from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. for dinner. Late night dining will be available from 10 p.m. until 12 midnight. Pizza Hut, Jazzman’s Café and the 1869 Club will be closed on Thursday, October 11 and resume normal operations on Friday, October 12.
